As the organizers of one of the largest student-run hackathons in Southern California, HackSC seeks to inspire and empower the next generation of tech leaders. We are more than an ordinary hackathon organization; we are building a creative, collaborative, and innovative platform where the brightest minds come together to turn their ideas into reality.

Every line of code, every pixel in a design, and every idea can change the world, and we are accomplishing this through our carefully crafted events and experiences focused around technology and innovation. From bringing in speakers such as Reddit CEO Steve Huffman and Patreon founder Sam Yam to building Hibiscus — our all-in-one hackathon management solution — HackSC is a place where anyone from any background can contribute to the future of technology.

Do you have an eye for aesthetics and a passion for making things look cool and exciting? Are you a creative powerhouse when it comes to graphics, animations, and illustrations? Join HackSC as a talented graphic designer & illustrator on our Product team.

Who you are:

• You possess a strong creative streak and have an innate sense of what looks cool and exciting.
• Your attention to detail ensures pixel-perfect designs, and you see design challenges as opportunities for creative problem-solving.
• You have experience bringing ideas to life through stunning visuals, animations, and illustrations, and have experience with some graphic design software e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.
• You're passionate about technology and want to contribute your design expertise to the tech ecosystem.
• You thrive under pressure and ramp up fast. We ship stuff and make strong progress every week.
