As the organizers of one of the largest student-run hackathons in Southern California, HackSC seeks to inspire and empower the next generation of tech leaders. We are more than an ordinary hackathon organization; we are building a creative, collaborative, and innovative platform where the brightest minds come together to turn their ideas into reality.

Every line of code, every pixel in a design, and every idea can change the world, and we are accomplishing this through our carefully crafted events and experiences focused around technology and innovation. The role:

Do you have a passion for creating seamless and user-friendly digital experiences? Are you skilled in crafting intuitive interfaces that make technology more accessible? We are looking for a talented Product Designer to join our team and play a key role in enhancing the user experience of our digital platforms and products.

What you will do:

• Work closely with engineers and PMs on the team to deliver products for Hackathon events
• Leverage user flows and visual designs such as UI elements
• Work with other designers and software engineers to provide designs that showcase a strong message to the end-user through simple and effective messaging

Who you are:

• You have a strong interest in Graphic Design, UI/UX, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields of study
• You have a deep understanding of stakeholders’ needs and can translate them into exceptional UI/UX designs.
• Your design portfolio reflects your creativity and ability to craft visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
• You thrive in cross-functional teams, working closely with developers and product managers to bring your designs to life.
• Your attention to detail ensures that the user experience is seamless, and you approach design challenges as opportunities for improvement.
